Customer Rewards Program Example:
The following example shows how a customer realized $167.50 in savings over a several month period at our automotive service center.
Christine Smith is a first time customer and gets a brake repair that cost $1,000 dollars. She signs up for the Customer Care Rewards program and receives 10% of his total repair cost as credit on her rewards membership number. She leaves with a rewards balance of $100 dollars.
Four months later Christine has an electrical problem with her car. Knowing she has a balance of $100 on her rewards card she brings his car back for repair. The cost to fix the car is exactly $500 dollars. As the balance of her rewards is more than 10% of the total repair the adjusted cost for her repair is $450 with $50 comes off her balance leaving her with a balance of $50. But when Christine pays the adjusted $450 for the repair she discovers 10% of that gets added back to her balance. She leaves with a new balance of $95 dollars on her card.
In March of the following year Christine is taking her family on a road trip across America. She knows it is best to get a thorough inspection and tune up so she brings her car back to our shop. Her balance is $95 dollars. The cost for the inspection and tune up is exactly $250 dollars. As the balance on her rewards balance is more than 10% of $250 dollars, she gets the full 10% off her repair, paying $225 instead of $250. Her rewards balance is debited the $25 and credited $22.50 dollars, leaving her with a rewards balance of $92.50.
During the trip across America Christine notices a strange noise while driving her car. Upon returning to Warren ~ Detroit she brings her car in for repair. The cost to fix her transmission is an even $1,500. As 10% of $1,500 is more than her balance Christine can use the full balance of $92.50 toward her repair. The cost of her repair is now $1407.50 of which 10% goes back on her balance leaving her with a new balance of $140.75.
